2026 Endorsements

NY State Legislature, Democratic Primary

Since 1997, Tenants PAC has helped elect pro-tenant champions at the state and local level. We endorse and contribute funds to a limited slate of candidates running in competitive races; we do not endorse in every race. Endorsement decisions are made on a rolling basis by majority vote of our Board of Directors - a team of 17 volunteer tenant leaders with decades of combined experience in electoral work, legislative advocacy and tenant organizing. You can access our 2026 Questionnaire here. The deadline has passed but we will consider accepting questionnaires from candidates if we’re considering an endorsement in a race already. Reach out to us at endorsements@tenantspac.org for more info.

The candidates below include some of our most reliable incumbents who have proudly championed our bills year after year. There are also strong challengers seeking to unseat notorious pro-landlord legislators who actively oppose us in Albany. The rest are exciting new faces bringing tenant issues to the forefront of their races. All are rejecting real estate money and pledged to consult with Tenants PAC on any housing or tenant-related legislation they seek to co-sponsor.

Help us get our slate elected! Click on each photo to access the candidate’s donation site. Please give generously! We will highlight some of these races on our Substack throughout the Spring!
